RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JONESBORO MUNICIPAL AIRPORT TO RECEIVE FEDERAL GRANT FUNDS FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION TO EXECUTE AIR IMPROVEMENT GRANT PROJECT 3-05-0033-019-2013 AS OUTLINED IN THE GRANT AGREEMENT

Whereas, the Jonesboro Municipal Airport applied for a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration to implement a runway improvement project; and
Whereas, the federal funds amount is $801,716.00 and the local match amount is $42,195.76; and
Whereas, the local match amount will come out of the project budget for the Jonesboro Municipal Airport; and
Whereas, the City of Jonesboro budget will not be amended.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1: City Council authorizes the Jonesboro Municipal Airport to receive said funds as described in the grant agreement; and
Section 2: The Mayor, Harold Perrin and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate said agreements.
