AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN UNIMPROVED PORTION OF MARSHALL STREET

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the streets designated as follows with the exceptions listed in Section 2:
Begin at the Northwest corner of Lot C of the Max Dacus Jr replat, then run North 89°38' West 50.00 feet; then run South 00°44' West 522.90 feet to the North line of Johnson Avenue.; then North 70°48' East along said North Street line 52.60 feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot C; then run North 00°44' East 507.00 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2: A copy of the ordinance certified by the City Clerk of Jonesboro, Arkansas shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas and shall be filed in the Deed Records of such office.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above streets and portions of street are not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above streets are in favor of the closure and vacation of the above street and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
