RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING THE DEED FOR THE ARMY RESERVE CENTER  

Body

WHEREAS, the Federal Government has declared the Army Reserve Center at 1001S. Caraway Road, Jonesboro, Arkansas, as surplus property; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to accept a deed for said property for use for law enforcement purposes.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:

Section 1:  The City of Jonesboro hereby accepts the Quitclaim Deed for the Army Reserve Center located on Caraway Road, Jonesboro, AR, for the purpose and subject to the restrictions set forth therein.

Section 2:  Mayor Harold Perrin and City Clerk Donna Jackson are hereby authorized to execute such documents as needed to effectuate this action.
