RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON AN ALLEY RUNNING WEST OF BAKER STREET

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that
The alley running West of Baker Street into the East 45 feet of Lot 5, Block 2, Morse's Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and abutted by Lots 1 and 2 and the South half of Lots 3 and 4, all in Block 2, Morse's Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 14-301-110 requires two weeks public notice before the above easements can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owners to vacate and abandon the unimproved portion of said drainage easement and this matter will be heard before the City Council on November 4, 1996 at 6:15 o'clock p.m. in Municipal Court, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
