BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION

Part of the north half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:

Begin at the southwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas; thence South 89°06'00" West along the South line of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, aforesaid, 108.80 feet; thence North 46°54'00" East 34.30 feet; thence North 32°04'00" West 362.80 feet; thence North 57°56'00" East 275.00 Feet to the point of beginning proper; Thence North 32°04'00" West 207.80 feet to the South right-of-way Line of U.S Highway #49; Thence North 57°56'00" East along said South right-of-way line, 230.00 feet; thence South 32°04'00" East 200.00 feet; thence South 57°56'00" West 155.00 feet; thence South 32°04'00" East 7.80 feet; thence South 57°56'00" West 75.00 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 1.07 acres.

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the city council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
