Whereas, Mr. William Evans served the City of Jonesboro and the Community and responded with excellent and untiring service.

Whereas, the City Council desires to make this resolution a part of the permanent record,

Whereas, the City Council recognizes the outstanding service William Evans rendered to the City of Jonesboro and its citizens.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the work and dedication of William Evans be remembered and appreciated by the naming of the park located at Logan and McDaniel as the William Evans Memorial Park.

PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 15^TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1986.
