AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN UNIMPROVED ALLEY

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows :

Begin at the southeast corner of lot 11, then north along the lot line to the northeast corner of lot 9, then east to the northwest corner of lot 14, then south along the lot line to the southwest corner of lot 12, then west to the point of beginning, all being in block 5 of Matthews Addition, Craighead County, Jonesboro, Arkansas

SECTION 2: A copy of the ordinance certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas and shall be filed in the deed records of such office.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above alley is not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above alley is in favor of the closure and vacation of the above alley and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
