RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE CITY MASTER STREET PLAN

WHEREAS, it is found that the City Planning Commission of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and pursuant to those laws, has studied and proposed to the City Council the approval of a master street plan, including location and extent of public ways, grounds, and open spaces, together with the general location of public buildings and other public property, and after a public hearing held on the 17th day of June, 1955, at 7:30 o’clock pm., pursuant to notice published in strict accord with the statutes of Arkansas, said Planning Commission again and formally adopted the plans and that a certified copy of same, together with all maps, plats, charts and descriptive matter have been filed with the City Clerk and certified to the City Council, and the approval of such plan by the Council being recommended by the Planning Commission;
Being fully advised and finding that said plans and supporting maps, plats and documents are correct and fulfill all of the requirements of Ark. Stats. 19-2812, and having been adopted and proposed to the Council in strict compliance with all requirement of Acts of Arkansas, numbered 108 of 1929 and 295 of 1937;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Council accept the recommendation and approval of the City Planning Commission of Jonesboro, and approve and adopt the details of said master street plan, as described above, consisting of maps designated “Jonesboro Arkansas, Master Street Plan”, Map No.1 being community facilities, Map No.2 being a major street system, and Map No.3 being openings, extensions, widening and vacations of streets, all identified with the certificate of the Chairman and Secretary of the Planning Commission and filed with the City Clerk June 2, 1955, together with the supporting explanation documents, and approve the location and widths of rights-of-way shown thereon for the various types of streets and public ways.
