RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS SYMPATHY AND CONCERN FOR THE FAMILY OF THE LATE PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY

WHEREAS, a sudden and tragic event has claimed the life of our President, John F. Kennedy, and

WHEREAS, such event has left its mark of sorrow on all Americans, regardless of politics or beliefs,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that this resolution, adopted on this day of national mourning, be recorded as an expression by the people of Jonesboro of their sympathy and concern for the family of the late President, and a renewed affirmation of faith that our system of government shall survive whatever obstacles or tragedies may befall it.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 25^th day of November, 1963.
