RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ABANDONMENT OF AN ALLEY ON JOHNSON AVENUE

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO:
 
That the 3rd day of April, 1972, is hereby fixed as the date for the hearing upon a petition of Farmers Union Association praying for the abandonment and vacating of the following described alley in the City of Jonesboro.
 
Begin at the intersection of the east line of Lot 37-Block 1 of E.C. Stuck Addition to Jonesboro, with the south line of Johnson Avenue; thence south to the southeast corner of Lot 14-Block 1 of said Addition; thence east 20.0 to the southwest corner of Lot 61-Block 1 of said Addition; thence north to the south line of Johnson Avenue; thence west along said south line 20.0 to the point of beginning.
 
Platted and filed for record deed record book ____ at page ____ of the records of the Jonesboro District of Craighead County, Ark.
 
The City Clerk hereby is directed to give notice of the time and place of a hearing on the said petition by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in the County and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro. The notice shall state the name of the property owner who signed the petition, the description of the alley to be vacated and shall identify same by the abutting lot and block numbers, and the notice shall advise all persons that on the 3rd day of April, 1972, the Council will hear and determine whether the above described alley shall be vacated.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of February, 1972.
