RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING  TO VACATE AND ABANDON A TEN FOOT ALLEY AS REQUESTED BY KEITH & DEBORAH BENNETT AND CARTER TEMPLE CME CHURCH

WHEREAS, Keith G. Bennett, Deborah J. Bennett, and Carter Temple CME Church have filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that the City abandon a ten foot alley which runs East and West between Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Block 5 of Broadaway Addition and Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 in Block 2 of Washington Addition to the City of Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND

WHEREAS, Arkansas law requires notice of such public hearing.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the public of such request to vacate and abandon the unimproved the above mentioned easement and this matter will be heard before the City Council on January 4^th, 2005 at 6:15 o'clock p.m. at Huntington Building, 900 West Monroe, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
