RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH P & J DEVELOPMENT, LLC (herein P & J) AND RWT LAND DEVELOPMENT , LLC (herein RWT) TO CONSTRUCT A NEW THREE-WAY INTERSECTION AT AGGIE ROAD AND PARAGOULD ROAD IN THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Street Department desires to enter into a contract with P& J and RWT. P & J and RWT agree to provide the needed right of way and the engineering design of proposed intersection at no cost to the City.  The City of Jonesboro will construct the proposed intersection at their expense.  Estimated cost for the City of Jonesboro to construct said intersection is Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00).

WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee recommends the contract be approved; and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

1.      That the contract with P & J and RWT be approved.

2.      That Mayor Doug Formon and City Clerk Donna Jackson are hereby authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to execute these agreements.
