RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM ADMINISTRATIVE BUDGET, JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development approved the First year, 1975-76, Community Development Block Grant Program Application on April 21, 1975, as authorized by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (Public Law 93-383); and,
WHEREAS, a Funding Approval for utilization of the assistance provided there-under in accordance with the approval Application, and a Grant Agreement in accordance therewith, was executed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development on Arkansas on April 22, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, certain activities are necessary in order to carry out the Community Development Block Grant Program (1975-1976); and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Application, the Jonesboro Urban Renewal & Housing Authority Board of Directors has reviewed the Community Development Administrative Budget, attached hereto as Exhibit A, the total amount of $68,000.00 having been approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development; and,
WHEREAS, the Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority Board of Directors recommended this Community Development Administrative Budget to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas for their approval; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to approve the Community Development Administrative Budget in order to carry out the Community Development Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the Community Development Block Grant Administrative Budget, attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, is hereby approved.
