AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 3450 ADOPTING THE 2004 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has determined there exists the need to hire an additional Code Enforcement Officer to preserve the safety and sanitation of the City;

WHEREAS, the addition is recommended by the Public Safety Committee and the Finance and Administration Committee;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas,

SECTION 1: The 2004 City of Jonesboro annual budget is amended by the appropriation of $17,105.83 from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund, to add an additional Code Enforcement Officer.

SECTION 2: That this ordinance being necessary to protect the safety and sanitation of the City, there is hereby declared to be an emergency and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
