A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CONVEYANCE OF POP STRICKLIN PARK FROM THE CITY WATER AND LIGHT PLANT OF JONESBORO

WHEREAS, the City Water and Light Plant of Jonesboro is the owner of part of the south half of the northwest quarter of section 32, Township 14 North, Range 4 East Craighead County, more commonly known as Pop Stricklin Park, previously conveyed to the City of Jonesboro and being more particularly described as follows:
 
Begin at the northwest corner of lot 18 Medallion Acres Second Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; thence N00°58'30"W - 50.66'; thence N00°49'40"W - 120.00' to the south right of way line of Medallion Circle; thence in a southeasterly direction along a curve to the right (R=90.71') - 71.25' to the point of tangent; thence S45°50'24"E along said right of way line - 140.80' to a point of curvature to the left; thence southeasterly along said curve (R=150.71') - 48.20'; thence S00°49'40"E - 16.78' to the north line of Medallion Acres Second Addition; thence S89°22'01"W-13.03': thence S89°16'59"W - 89.96'; thence S89°13'18"W - 99.52' to the point of beginning containing 0.48 acres more or less subject to all rights of way and easements of record.
 
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro currently maintains the property and playground equipment at Pop Stricklin Park.
 
WHEREAS, the City would like to accept conveyance of Pop Stricklin Park and the equipment in the park for further development of its park system.
 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
      
SECTION I: That the City of Jonesboro shall accept conveyance of part of the south half of the northwest quarter of section 32, Township 14 North, Range 4 East Craighead County, more commonly known as Pop Stricklin Park.
