RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON BERRY STREET A.K.A. SHORT STREET

WHEREAS, that all the property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that Berry Street, a/k/a Short Street be vacated and abandoned; and,

WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, Arkansas Statute Ann. § 19-3814 requires two (2) weeks public notice before the above streets can be vacated and abandoned;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks advising the public that all the property owners and others desire to vacate and abandon Berry Street, a/k/a Short Street, and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on July 6, 1987 at 7:15 p.m. at City Hall, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
