AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
From Residential Two (R-2) to Commercial Five (C-5) for the property described as follows:
The east 208 feet of Lot 1, all of Lot 2, and the south 124 feet of Lot 3, all in Block 1 of Broadway's Addition to the City of Jonesboro as shown by plat recorded in Deed Record Book 18 at Page 169 in the office of the Circuit Clerk for the Western District of Craighead County in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
