RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO PURCHASE TWO PIECES OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE JONESBORO AREA AND TO APPROPRIATE THE FUNDS NEEDED FOR SUCH PURCHASE

WHEREAS, Arkansas State Statute 14-54-302 requires the execution of all contracts, conveyances, and lease contracts to be preformed by the Mayor and City Clerk when approved by a majority vote of the City Council.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to purchase the following Jonesboro property:

•                     508 W. Monroe for $20,000.00 to be appropriated from the Parking Fund

•                     Southwest corner of Patrick and Hope for $8,750.00 to be appropriated from the Parks and Recreation budget.
