BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
 
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes  in zoning classifications as follows:
 
From Residential (R-1) to Industrial (I-2) of the property described as follows:
 
EXHIBIT A
Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 5 East, more particularly described as follows: Commence at the Northwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 5 East; thence North 89°09' East 165.6 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence North 89° 09' East 1154.7 feet; thence South 0°03' West 1313.2 feet; thence South 89°09' West 1319 feet; thence North 434 feet; thence East 208.7 feet; thence North 616.2 feet; thence West 21 feet; thence North 4 °48' West 266.4 feet to the point of beginning proper.
 
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
