RESOLUTION AMENDING THE JONESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT'S POLICY MANUAL TO ADD SEC. 112 BIASED BASED POLICING AND SEC. 113 USE OF MOBILE VIDEO AND AUDIO RECORDING EQUIPMENT IN VEHICLES

WHEREAS, the City Council has previously adopted and approved the policy manual for the Jonesboro Police Department; and

WHEREAS, Act 1207 of the 2003 Acts require the police departments to adopt a bias based policy, and a written policy for use of mobile video and audio recording equipment in vehicles.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

1.      The attached bias based policing policy is hereby adopted and made a part of the Jonesboro Police Department's policy manual as Section 112 thereof.

2.      The attached use of mobile video and audio recording equipment in vehicle policy is hereby adopted and made a part of the Jonesboro Police Department's policy manual as Section 113 thereof.
