RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AND AGREEMENTS WHICH MAY BECOME NECESSARY BETWEEN THE JONESBORO URBAN RENEWAL AND HOUSING AUTHORITY AND THE CITY OF JONESBORO IN SECURING LOW - RENT HOUSING

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to acquire low - rent housing; and
WHEREAS, the Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority is the local agency which is acquiring the low-rent housing for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor of Jonesboro, Arkansas will need to execute certain documents and agreements and execute certain contracts for the City of Jonesboro in regards to acquiring low-rent housing and to enter into cooperation agreements between the Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority and the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that Neil J. Stallings, Mayor, be and is hereby duly authorizes and fully empowered to enter into and execute for and in the name of the city all documents, contracts, and agreements, necessary to the acquisition, construction, maintenance, and operation of low-rent housing in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City, amend the previous cooperation Agreement dated June 9, 1977 to allow for an additional 100 units of public housing.
