AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR CHANGES INZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known s the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:
From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property:
A part of the SW ¼ of Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, being more particularly described as follows:
Begin at the center of aforesaid Section 29; thence S0 deg 12’ W on the ¼ Section Line 430.0’ thence S89 deg. 02’ W 50.0 to the west R/W line of Browns Lane, the point of beginning proper; thence S0 deg 12’ W along north boundary 420.0’ to the west boundary of Skillcare Parcel; thence S0 deg 12’ W along west boundary 480.0’ to the north boundary of Nix’s Executive Square property; thence N89 deg 48’ W approximately 192.0’ to the east/west ¼ section line of aforesaid Section 29; thence N89 deg 02’ E parallel with said ¼ section line 609.86’ to the point of beginning proper, all being subject to all rights of way and easement of record.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, and emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
