AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2005 ANNUAL BUDGET TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE STREET DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, additional funding is required for the Street Department to provide adequate services for the remainder of 2005 and to provide funds for line-item budget accounts currently reflecting expenditures in excess of appropriations,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The sum of $329,500 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Street Fund, to be allocated to the following line-item budget accounts:
02-100-0211-00 Overtime Salaries $65,000
02-100-0221-00 Maintenance Buildings & Grounds 2,000
02-100-0222-00 Outside Maintenance Equipment 4,000
02-100-0223-00 Repair Parts - Autos/Vehicles 122,500
02-100-0224-00 Supplies 21,000
02-100-0225-00 Fuel 115,000
SECTION 2: It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance, being necessary to provide additional funding for 2005 Street Department services, shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
