6:15 p.m.
Members present were: Jimmy Ashley, Judy Furr, Mitch Johnson, Cecil Province and Ann Williams. Councilman McCall was unable to attend.
TRANSIT
Ordinance to appropriate funds for JETS: Mr. Joel Gardner explained the $130,000 was budgeted for JETS, but the money was never actually appropriated. Councilwoman Furr motioned, seconded by Councilman Ashley, to recommend to full Council the appropriation of $130,000 for JETS. All voted aye.
Resolution to appoint new members to the JETS advisory board: Mr. Gardner explained the board has three vacancies that need to be filled. The board recommended Kathy Cole, Amy Hudson and Jimmy Cooper. Councilman Ashley motioned, seconded by Councilwoman Furr, to appoint the new members to the JETS Community Transportation Advisory Board. All voted aye. NOTE: It was later explained Ms. Amy Hudson would not be able to serve on the board because of conflicts with her work.
