AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES FROM R-2 TO C-5, AND FROM R-2 TO C-3

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: That ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as unanimously recommended by the City Planning Commission by the change in zoning boundaries as follows:

From Residential (R-2) to Commercial (C-5) of: Lots 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 of Block 6, Wilson’s second Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas, and

From Residential (R-2) to Commercial (C-3) the Herbie Stallings Addition to the City of Jonesboro, the North 193.8 feet of Lot 5 of Cobb and Lee’s Survey, Lots 1 and 4 of the Stallings 4^th Addition, Lots 1 and 4 of the Stallings 2^nd Addition and Lots 1 and 2 of Block A of Stallings 5^th Addition and Lots 1 through 8 of Block B of Stallings 5^th Addition.

Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tracts of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 16^th day of April, 1973.
