RESOLUTION TO APPOINT MEMBERS TO THE SOUTHVIEW ACRES STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1

WHEREAS, the City Council, by Ordinance No. 2676, appointed Kevin Carpenter, Rick Martin and Patrick Brewer as Commissioners of the Southview Acres Street Improvement District No. 1; and,
WHEREAS, Patrick Brewer was unable to fulfill the duties thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council approved and hereby reapproves and ratifies the appointment of Barry Wright in the place of Patrick Brewer; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin Carpenter has notified the Board of Commissioners that he will no longer be able to serve as Commissioners have voted and approved the nomination and appointment of Dale Backwell to fill the said vacancy; and,
WHEREAS, it is the conclusion of the City Council that it is in the best interest of the Southview Acres Street Improvement District No. 1 to appoint a new commissioner to replace the vacancy created; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Southview Acres Street Improvement District No. 1 has made the report to the City Council;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that upon the vote of the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That Dale Blackwell should be appointed to fill the vacancy created by Kevin Carpenter and that Barry Wright, Rick Martin and Dale Blackwell are hereby appointed as Commissioners and shall constitute the Board of Commissioners of the Southview Acres Street Improvement District No. 1 with authority to make assessments and carry out the improvements and all other duties prescribed by law.
SECTION 2. The Report of the Board of Commissioners of Southview Acres Street Improvement District No. 1 is hereby approved.
