RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING ON VACATING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK 3 OF WATT'S ADDITION

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Ark.
That the 16th day of August, 1971, is hereby fixed as the date for the hearing upon the petition of Max Dacus praying for the abandonment and vacating of the following described alley in the City of Jonesboro, Ark.
An alley running east and west through the middle of Block 3 of Watt's Addition to the town of Nettleton, bounded on the north by Lots 1, 2, 3 & 4 and on the south by Lots 5, 6, 7 & 8 of said Watt's Addition, beginning at Dewey Street and running west through Lots 4 & 5 (Ward 6) platted and filed for record in Deed Record book 18 at page 621 of the records of the Jonesboro District of Craighead County, Arkansas.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the time and place of a hearing on the said petition by publication once a week for 2 consecutive weeks in a petition by publication once a week for 2 consecutive weeks in a newspaper published once a week in Craighead County, Ark., and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro, Ark., the notice shall state the name of the property owner who signed the petition, the description of the alley to be vacated and shall identify same by the abutting lots and 1 block numbers and the notice shall advise all persons that on the 16th day of August, 1971, the Council will hear and determine whether the above described alley shall be vacated.
