RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT WITH ASSOCIATED ENGINEERING TO PROVIDE THE CITY WITH PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE TRAFFIC STUDY

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is planning to have a traffic improvement study conducted in southwest Jonesboro for the purposes of identifying, justifying, costing, and prioritizing potential capital improvements and improvements to existing streets that will be needed to adequately handle traffic; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has negotiated with Associated Engineering and Testing, LLC and the contract is attached hereto in its entirety; and
WHEREAS, the payment for work will be based on actual work effort completed, and detailed on monthly invoices for a total fee of $225,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City Of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
Section 1: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the attached contract with Associated Engineering and Testing, LLC for the purpose of providing the City of Jonesboro with professional engineering services in connection with the traffic study.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
