Rotary Clubs of Jonesboro was awarded the contract for the construction of a playground at Craighead Forest Park at Access #6 and was signed on November 13, 2008. The contract amount is for $240,000 with $80,000 of the money being reimbursed to the City no later than December 31, 2008, and $160,000 of the money being reimbursed to the City by December 31, 2009. The contract is in effect from October 21, 2008 until the construction of a new playground and playground amenities is completed to the satisfaction of the City or December 31, 2009. The ordinance number is ORD-08:084 and was approved by the City Council on November 6, 2008.
The length of the contract was extended to December 31, 2010, by RES-09:207, which was approved by the City Council on January 5, 2010.

The length of the contract was extended a third time and the final payment of $52,000 should be paid no later than December 31, 2012. The resolution number is RES-11:219 and was approved by Council on January 17, 2012.
