ORDINANCE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE A CERTAIN TECHNICAL CODE ENTITLED THE OFF PREMISE OUTDOOR ADVERTISING SIGN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE ZONING CODE. (NOTE: THIS ORDINANCE WAS AMENDED BY ORD-07:81 ON JUNE 19, 2007)

WHEREAS, pursuant to ACA 14-55-207, public notice was given of the City's intent to adopt said technical code by reference, and advised that three (3) copies of the document were on file and available for public review and examination in the Office of City Clerk, and
 
WHEREAS, all comments, views, suggestions and recommendations have been considered and addressed by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission at a public hearing held November 11th, 2003.
 
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
 
SECTION 1: That the Zoning Ordinance Title 14 of the Jonesboro Municipal code is hereby amended by adoption of the Off Premise Advertising Sign Ordinance.
 
SECTION 2: That the document entitled The Off-Premise Outdoor Advertising Sign Ordinance is hereby adopted by reference, and shall become part of the Jonesboro Municipal Code as 14.32.11.
 
SECTION 3: That nothing in this ordinance or in the code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding or existing, under any act or ordinance hereby amended as cited in Section 1 of this ordinance; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired of affected by the ordinance.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of December, 2003.
