AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO REIMBURSE THE GENERAL FUND FOR CRAIGHEAD TECHNOLOGY PARK LAND ACQUISITION, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the City has paid $134,000 from the General Fund for Craighead Technology Park land acquisition, and
WHEREAS, such payment meets the definition of a “capital improvement of a public nature” under A.C.A. 26-75-203 (3) (x) and therefore qualifies as an expenditure of the Capital Improvement Fund,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: $134,000 is appropriated from the unappropriated fund balance of the Capital Improvement Fund to reimburse the General Fund for Craighead Technology Park land acquisition
SECTION 2: It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance, being necessary to provide proper funding for Craighead Technology Park land acquisition, shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
