RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CERTIFICATE OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FOR CERTAIN BUSINESSES, ARKANSAS ENTERPRISE ZONE PROGRAM, JONEBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Act of 1983, Act 740 was enacted by the Arkansas General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro was approved by the Arkansas Industrial Development Commission for the inclusion of three zones under the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program on December 1, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the business/industry interested in participating in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program must obtain a certificate of Endorsement from the local governing body; and
WHEREAS, it is desirous to approve certain businesses for local government.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
1. The Certificate of Local Government Endorsement for Don Gilbert Industries, Inc.; Advanced Plastics, Inc,; H & H Enterprises; and Broadway Ham Company be approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized to certify the Certificate of Local Endorsement and submit to Arkansas Industrial Development Commission and the Certificate and Application for Tax Credit.
