RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO PURCHASE 14.01 ACRES OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, Arkansas State Statute 14-54-302 requires the execution of all contracts, conveyances, and leases to be performed by the Mayor and City Clerk when approved by a majority vote of the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to purchase Tract 1-B containing 14.01 acres located on Race Street, from Mr. and Mrs. George Allen for the sum of $90,000, to come from the Parks Capital Improvement Fund.
