AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE OF ZONING BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That Ordinance No.954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro is amended by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
From Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-2) of property described as follows: Part of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 13, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Begin at the Southwest Corner of said Section 13; thence North 89°51' East 833.9 feet to the point of beginning proper, thence run North 1°01' East 200 feet; thence North 89°51' East 96.8 feet; thence South 1°01' West 200 feet; thence South 89°51' West 96.8 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 0.44 acres.
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
