body

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: That Ordinance No. 954, known as a zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as unanimously recommended by the City Planning Commission by the change in zoning boundaries as follows:

From Industrial (I-1) to Commercial (C-3): This property is described as being Lots 1, 4 and 5 in Block D and Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 in Block E of Stuck and Stuck 2nd Addition to the City of Jonesboro. This property is located on the North side of Johnson Avenue commencing approximately 147 feet West of Rogers Street.

Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tracts of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
