RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ABANDONMENT OF AN ALLEY EXTENDING FROM JACKSON STREET TO WASHINGTON STREET AS REQUESTED BY CITIZENS BANK, OSCAR MELTON, CURTIS MCKINNEY AND DONALD TIMES

Be IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
That the 3rd day of May, 1976, is hereby fixed as a date for the hearing upon the petition of Citizens Bank of Jonesboro, Oscar J. Melton, Curtis V. McKinney and Donald Times, praying for the abandonment and vacating of the following described alley in the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas:
An alley running north and south through Block H of the original survey of the Town of Jonesboro, Arkansas, said alley extending from Jackson Street on the south to Washington Street on the north and being bounded on the east by Lots 4 and 11 in said Block H and being bounded on the west by Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of said Block H and being approximately 10 feet in width, as shown on County Surveyor's Record 1 at page 5 of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the date and place of the hearing on said Petition by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Craighead County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. The notice shall state the name of the property owners who signed the petition, the description of the alley to be vacated and shall identify the same by the abutting lot and block numbers an the notice shall advise all persons that on the 3rd day of May, 1976, this Council will hear and determine whether the above described alley shall be vacated.
Adopted on this 19th day of April, 1976.
