CITY COUNCIL AGENDA - June 3, 1996
1. Call to order by Mayor at 6:30 p.m.
2. Roll call by Clerk.
3. Approval of minutes from May 20, 1996, as provided.
4. City Attorney:
(A) 3rd reading - Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-4), located at 3717 Forest Hill Road, Jonesboro, Arkansas. (C. Mooney, Sr./Mike & Marcie Walters)
5. Resolution requesting replacement of Commissioner Patrick Brewer in the Southview Acres Street Improvement District No. 1.
6. Traffic Resolution to place stop signs a various locations in a new subdivision located off Windover Road.
7. Resolution to proceed with condemnation action on property located at 1800 Arch Street, owned by Violet Williams (A nursing home resident). Mr. Don Barber, son of Mrs Violet Williams, manages the property for his mother.
8. Review the following Re-appointments:
Larry Duke, Albert Frankenburger, Roscoe Hays, Roger Scott, Jim Farmer, and Bill Waldrip to the Board of Adjustment and Appeals with an expiration date of May 1999.
9. New Business by the Mayor
The hiring of three new police officer positions using supplement funds from the COPS FAST grant award.
10. New Business by the Council.
