RESOLUTION TO LEVY A 1 MILL TAX ON ALL REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY FOR THE POLICEMAN’S PENSION FUND

WHEREAS, the duly qualified constituted and acting Board of Trustees of the Policeman’s Pension Fund have enacted and caused to be certified to the City Clerk a resolution that the sum of ____________ is necessary to discharge the functions of said Board during the year 1970.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that in order to raise said sum, it is necessary to levy a tax of 1 mill per dollar assessed valuation.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
1. That there be and there is hereby levied on all real and personal property within the City a tax on 1 mill on each dollar of assessed valuation of all real and personal property for the year 1970 to be collected in the year 1971.
2. That the County Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed to extend said tax as herein described upon the tax books and that they be collected in the same manner as other property taxes are collected.
