A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO APPROVE A GENERAL RELEASE AND WAIVER FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro needs to purchase thirteen new police cars and

WHEREAS, the 2005 Crown Victoria Police Interceptors is the only suitable vehicle available under the state purchasing contract provisions; and

WHEREAS, Ford Motor Company requires a General Release and Waiver to be executed by the City of Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS, the Jonesboro Police Department Administration and the City of Jonesboro recommend signing the waiver for the purchase.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

1.  That the Mayor and City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized to execute General Release and Waiver from Ford Motor Company for the purchase of 2005 Crown Victoria Police Interceptors.

2.  This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
