The meeting was called to order at 9:00 p.m. by Alderman McCall. Members present were: Tim McCall, Alec Farmer, Cecil Province, and Chris Moore. Others in attendance were City Clerk Donna Jackson and Greg Chance, KASU Radio
BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
Discussion was held regarding the determination of acting Boards and Commissions. The decision was made to wait for Mayor-Elect Doug Formon to make a recommendation.
ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
Rules and Procedures: Councilman McCall moved, seconded by Councilman Moore to recommend to the full council an ordinance making the following changes to the City Council Rules and Procedures: 1. Amend the meeting day to the first and third Tuesday of the month;
2. Allowing agenda items to be added after the deadline by unanimous vote of any city council committee with four or more council members. All voted aye.
Reappointments: Councilman McCall moved, seconded by Councilman Moore to recommend to the full council the following reappointments:
· Mr. Dennis Zolper for a five year term to the Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority with an expiration date of October 1, 2009.
· Mr. Billy West for a three year term to the City Water and Light Board with an expiration date of March 1 , 2007.
All voted aye.
Oath of Office: Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Farmer to recommend to the full council an ordinance requiring a duplicate Oath of Office be filed with the Office of City Clerk, and naming the City Clerk as the keeper of city board and commission records. All voted aye.
Franchise Ordinances: Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Province to recommend the following two ordinances to the full council:
