RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PAYMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION COSTS OF THE CITY HALL AND FIRE STATION AND TO USE THE CITY WATER AND LIGHT PLANT CONTINGENCY FUND FOR PAYMENT

WHEREAS, in compliance with all statutes, ordinances and laws, including Decree of the Chancery Court dated March 3, 1948, in Cause No.9389, a fund has been set aside and accumulated for building of a City Hall and Fire Station and such action has been heretofore approved by a formal resolution of the Board of Directors of City Water and Light Plant and the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas which governing bodies have also approved the currently planned expenditures or use of the said fund as herein set out.
THEREFORE, be it resolved that, with concurrence of said Board and Council in passage of this resolution, all balances now or during the year 1958 in the contingency Fund shall be expended on certificates of architects specified by the City of Jonesboro and in payment of construction costs of the City Hall and Fire Station in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
This Resolution passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas in regular assembled session this September 15, 1958, at which meeting a majority of said Council was present and voted for said Resolution.
