AN ORDINANCE INCORPORATING INTO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, CRAIGHAD COUNTY, ARKANSAS, THE FOLLOWING LANDS, TO-WIT: THE N ½ SW ¼ SW ¼ ALL THE PART OF THE NW ¼ SE ¼ SW ¼ LYING WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF CHRISTIAN CREEK; AND ALL OF THE NW ¼ SW ¼ EXCEPT THAT PART THEREOF DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS; BEGINNING 665.61 FEET EAST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID NW ¼ SW ¼, THENCE SOUTH 208.71 FEET, THENCE EAST 208.71 FEET, THENCE NORTH 208.71 FEET, THENCE WEST 208.71 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; ALL IN SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 3 EAST

WHEREAS, on the 5th day of September, 1961, the County Court of Craighead County, Arkansas, made an order annexing certain lands therein described to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, pursuant to the petition of Trumann Homes, inc. and O.L. Wilkins; and
WHEREAS, the signers of said petition constituted all the owners of all of the lands in the affected area; and
WHEREAS, it would be to the best interest of the City of Jonesboro and the citizens thereof that said property by incorporated into an become a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That the following described lands, to-wit:
The N ½ SW ¼ SW ¼; all that part of the NW ¼ SE ¼ SW ¼ lying west of the center line of Christian Creek; and all of the NW ¼ SW ¼ except the part thereof described as follows: Beginning 665.61 feet east of the northwest corner of said NW ¼ SW ¼, thence south 208.71 feet, thence east 208.71 feet, thence north 208.71 feet, thence west 208.71 feet to the point of beginning; all in Section 24, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, be, and the same are hereby annexed and incorporated into the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas.
Section 2: That said lands be, and they are, hereby zoned as (R-2) Residential.
