A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT FOR INSTALLING THREE DIESEL GENERATORS FROM POWERHOUSE ELECTRIC, INC., OF FORREST CITY, ARKANSAS.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro advertised and received bids for the installation of one diesel generator at each of the following Jonesboro Fire Department Stations; 4, 5 and 6. March 1, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the low bid of $90,588.00 was submitted by Powerhouse Electric, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the bid is within the 2004 Assistance to Firefighters Grant budgeted amount; and
WHEREAS, The Public Safety Committee recommended on March 21, 2006, the approval of awarding a contract to the low bidder for a contract of $90,588.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IF RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid of $90,588.00 from Powerhouse Electric, Inc. for installing one diesel generator at each of the following Jonesboro Fire Stations,
a. Station 4, 4216 Stadium Blvd.
b. Station 5, 2916 Wood St.
c. Station 6, 221 East Thomas Green
SECTION 2: That the Mayor, Douglas Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
