AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2006 ANNUAL BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO BY THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR GIS PARCEL DEVELOPMENT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro entered into a contract with Fisher & Arnold, Inc., in November of 2005 for a pilot parcel development project, and wishes to complete this project, and
WHEREAS, Fisher & Arnold can complete the project for $130,850.00, and
WHEREAS, the 2006 budget contains an appropriation of $40,000.00 for the project, and
WHEREAS, Craighead County has contributed $39,175.00 for the project,
NOW BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: The 2006 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro, adopted as ordinance 3600 on December 28, 2005, is amended by the appropriation of $51,675.00 from the unappropriated balance of the general fund to budget line item 01-110-0217-00 for the remainder of funds required to complete the project.
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon, and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the completion of the project.
SECTION 3: The ordinance being necessary for the financial continuity of the City of Jonesboro, there is hereby declared to be an emergency and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
