A RESOLUITON EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO PARTICIPATE IN THE INDUSTRIAL ACCESS ROAD PROGRAM FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS TO C.W. POST DRIVE, FROM HIGHWAY 18S-EAST

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro understands that certain State funds are available for improvements to qualified Industrial Access Roads, and

WHEREAS, the City understands that their local matching portion of this project will be 20% of the total project cost, including preliminary engineering, construction and construction engineering, and

WHEREAS, the City agrees to provide all right-of-way and adjustment of utilities at no cost to the State;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, THAT:

SECTION 1: The Mayor of the City of Jonesboro is hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of the improvements under the Industrial Access Road Program.

SECTION 2: The City of Jonesboro pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to construct this project.
