AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A PART OF THE SOUTH HALF OF SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 3 EAST, TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
It being determined by the County Court of Craighead County, Arkansas, after due notice and according to the provisions of law to enter an order of annexation on the 21st day of July, 1958, making:
Begin at the ¼ corner of Section 24 and 25, T14N, R3E, thence East on the ¼ Section line 736.6 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence continue East 140 feet; thence North 2 degrees 20 minutes East 109 feet; thence East 534.3 feet to the West line of Wood Street; thence North 46 degrees 20 minutes East along West line of Wood Street 181.8 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 16 of Block G of Krewson Subdivision of Jonesboro College Addition; thence West along the North line of said Lot 16 a distance of 162 feet; thence North 2 degrees 20 minutes East 225 feet; thence West 547.5 feet to the East line of Greenwood Street; thence South 2 degrees 20 minutes West along said East line 474 feet to point of beginning proper. The foregoing described tract being a part of the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 24, T14N, R3E, which has been platted and is known as Cooksey Addition, Jonesboro, Arkansas,
A part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, it being found that said territory should be accepted into and made a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDAINED that the above described lands are hereby accepted and made a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas annexed hereto, and the persons residing therein shall have and enjoy all the rights and privileges of the inhabitants within the original limits of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. The same shall be part of the 5th Ward.
