AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES FROM R-1 TO C-3, R-1 TO R-2 AND R-1 TO C-5

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro is amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
1. From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) of the property described as: All of Block “L” of Sigler’s College Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas which includes Par dew’s Sub-Division of Lot One (1), and A.M., Gross Sub- Division of Lot Three (3).
2. From Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-2) of the property described as: Lots Three (3), Five (5) and Six (6) of Melton Manor Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, being a part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25, township 14 North, Range 3 East, less and except the following tracts: Begin at the Northwest corner of Lot Three (3) Melton Manor Addition; thence South 0°20’ West 120 feet; thence South 88°31’ West 100 feet; thence South 0°20’ 88.7 feet; thence South 45°30’ East 80 feet; thence North 44°30’ East 97.2 feet; thence North 0°20’ East 199 feet; thence South 88°31’ West 25 feet to the point of beginning proper. Begin at the East corner of Lot Six (6) Melton Manor Addition; thence North 46°05’ West 50 feet; thence South 43°55’ West 45 feet; thence South 46°05’ East 50 feet to the Northwesterly right-of-way line of Arkansas State Highway 39; thence along said right-of-way line North 43°55’ East 45 feet to the point of beginning.
3. From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-5) of the property described as the Cathedral Baptist Church Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
