AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A PART OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 4 EAST, TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
It being determined by the County Court of Craighead County, Arkansas after due notice and according to the provisions of law, to enter order of annexation on May 25, 1956, making a part of the Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, described as follows: (W. E. Pyle Addition)
Begin at the Southwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, thence East 176.7 feet to point of beginning proper; thence north 984.0 feet; thence East 480 feet; thence South 434 feet; thence West 128.5 feet; thence South 550 feet; thence West 381.5 feet to point of beginning proper, a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, it being found that said territory should be accepted into and made a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
It is, therefore, ordained that the above described lands are hereby accepted and made a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, annexed thereto and the persons residing therein shall have, and enjoy all the rights and privileges of the inhabitants within the original limits of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. The same shall be a part of the Fourth (4th) Ward.
