RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE’S PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE COMPREHENSIVE STUDY OF EXISTING PARKS

WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that the ultimate success of Jonesboro’s progress depends upon progress in all phases of public and private activity, including the area of recreation, and further recognizes that there is no comprehensive plan in effect for existing or future public parks or recreation areas,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby endorses and lends its support to the Public Affairs Committee of the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, which Committee has indicated its desire to conduct a comprehensive study of the existing park and recreation facilities, and to devise a plan of action for the future use and growth of such facilities.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 21^st day of August, 1961.
