RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK TO PROVIDE FOR A PROCEDURE FOR REVIEW OF DISCIPLINARY DECISIONS REGARDING DEPARTMENT HEADS.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro needs to amend its employee handbook by providing for a procedure for review of disciplinary decisions regarding department heads and;

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro needs to further amend the procedure for review of disciplinary decisions regarding department heads to provide for a name clearing hearing.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro that:

(1)  That the employee handbook shall be amended by adding to its employee handbook the following procedure attached hereto as Exhibit A.

(2)  That said provisions shall be added to page 4-17 under the heading Procedure for Review of Disciplinary Decisions.
